Grime meets glamour at Shelter premiere

  • Firefly was tasked with helping Shelter raise awareness of its short film on the vicious cycle of rented housing featuring Eastenders star, Patsy Palmer.
  • Rather than a traditional glitzy screening, we created an alternative 'grime meets glamour' premiere, where the stars had to tread a grubby red carpet, the caviar was replaced with pie and mash and the champagne flutes and comfy cinema seats were traded in for chipped mugs and thread-bare sofas. The film was screened to an audience of celebrities, media and Shelter supporters at the beautiful but dilapidated, Wilton's Music Hall in Tower Hamlets and followed by an exclusive DJ set.
  • The film secured local and national press coverage, including a preview in The Guardian and received 40,000 unique visitors online both at the Shelter site and on handbag.com, tiscali.com, virginmedia.com and The Guardian online.
